Somewhere, out in the void beyond the reaches of our solar system, hung a glistening ship. The curved hull scattered with lights, trailing a white hot exhaust through the ether. It was a one of a kind, and the woman in charge of it more so. It was the Dusk's Companion, and she was Admiral Alex Demitri. This was no ordinary ship, on no ordinary mission. It held a relic at it's core from ages not yet gone. An engine stolen from wreckage that shouldn't have existed. But the fact of the matter was that the ship did exist. The engine was read. Today, I woke up late, got out the door barely in time and somehow made it to the bus with minutes to spare. For some reason this seems to echo in my book's word count.
So far I am up to 21000 words, I'm tragically behind and unless I can put my arse in gear and write around 2k per day, I'm not going to finish in time. But on the second bus this morning, I realised something.
I've written twenty one thousand words in sixteen days. Thats about ninteen thousand more than I would have written ordinarilly.

Must keep that in my head and hope I hit 50k. If not I can always continue as I am until the story gets finished.
