Drake's Journal

Today, I woke up late, got out the door barely in time and somehow made it to the bus with minutes to spare. For some reason this seems to echo in my book's word count.
So far I am up to 21000 words, I'm tragically behind and unless I can put my arse in gear and write around 2k per day, I'm not going to finish in time. But on the second bus this morning, I realised something.
I've written twenty one thousand words in sixteen days. Thats about ninteen thousand more than I would have written ordinarilly.

Must keep that in my head and hope I hit 50k. If not I can always continue as I am until the story gets finished.

Whoo! National Novel Writing Month starts tomorrow. I plan on staying up tonight ti start my novel on the crack of midnight. I even have a music playlist ALMOST picked out of music I'm going to be writing to.

As for what I'll be writing about, it's working title is Sky's Limit: Retribution. A better title I think could be Sky's Limit: Origin Point, but titles can be left until I am somewhere closer to the 20k point.

The plot revolves around a psychopathic man who feels he needs to take revenge for the last act of a war that happened some fifty years previous. Never mind the war was between humans, he wants revenge with a race called the Guard. And he has a weapon to do it with. Almost makes it too.

Well, with just over three and a half hours to go. I should still be planning. Adios.
